I really enjoyed the Ninja Turtles films as a kid, why does Bay have to get involved?

It's Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

They're frickkin' awesome, brilliant 80's retro film/television.

They're mutants though, they get radio active goo spilt on them as baby turtles!
