Okay, so we currently have the WPA-PSK [TKIP] + WPA2-PSK [AES] protection, now... can I read somewhere the DS can connect to either WPA or WEP, but I can't. Do I have to allow the DS mac address? I'm not too sure what I'm talking about. What will be different if I change to WEP?

I'm not really in an area that would get hacked, but then again I don't really know what areas hackers usually visit.

Anyone know any hotspots for hackers?

EDIT: If it's so easy to hack, why would nintendo make that the only way to go online? Surely it stops loads of people.

I've just seen this online, I know I cant post the link but

It's called "Wifi Max for PSP, DS, and Wii"

WiFi MAX for PSP and DS couldn't be simpler to use. Just plug your USB WiFi dongle into your internet-enabled PC to create a Wireless Access Point. You can then connect to the internet and play online-enabled multiplayer games with PSP and DS gamers from all over the world. Just the thing if you don't have a wireless router! Best of all, WiFi MAX supports up to five 'local' PSP / DS gamers at a time, so you and your mates can all play online at once!
