I can get a Nintendo Ds lite cheap, are these still current gen, and games decent? Never had a portable

After the DS came the 3DS and that is now EOL with full focus on the Switch.

Vast library of games to be played on the DS and I do recommend one if you're a Nintendo fan, but it is now very dated.

Current? Well you can still use them and buy carts but it's very old now.

A few N64 remakes in there to play if you haven't before.

Games are somewhat retro but decent enough. Far better than almost every smartphone game I've ever played, and arguably better than even the very few I actually enjoyed.
Done right, you can also play all the old Gameboy, Gameboy Colour, Gameboy Advance and NES games on it, too. I haven't actually played any DS games on mine, but they can only be a step up, for the most part.
DS Lite has an 18 hour battery life too, which is probably why it's remained this popular.

Still an excellent portable, I've still got mine with an old PSP Lite but really its the DS that gets any use - Advance Wars, Mario Kart, New Super Mario - I'm sure there's loads I've missed too!

Reasonable price. I've had a look on Ebay and obviously its variable but £15 seems to be about the lowest I could see - obviously depends on colour, condition, etc
