Nintendo DS - mario?

Ive recently bought a new nintendo ds and have the new Mario Bros game, which for me is perfect. I really liked this game before and it is just as good now. Im wondering if anyone has this game or knows much about it. I have been informed that on the new game somehow you can play the old version of this game first released with nintendo? If anyone knows if this is correct or how to do it please give me a heads up. Ive tried going into many diff options with no luck. Thanks for any help

Hhhmm Gordy R told me he is sure you can but like you ive not heard of it and cant find anything in the booklet that comes with it???? He has got my hopes up now

Nope i've completed it fully on all the save files(its that good!) and have seen nothing like that, he's definitely having you on

you can play as Luigi though(hold L+R as you select your save file).

once you complete the game a 'shop' opens in w1. Dont have enough coins to buy anything yet tho'

EDIT: just bought one of them. They are just different wallpapers for the lower screen. :mad:

There is a Secret Challenge Mode

While paused on the map, press L R L R X X Y Y to enter the secret Challenge mode. You will now be unable to go back to an area that has scrolled off the screen while playing a level. This cheat only works after you finish the game.

So a bit like the old game where you couldn't backtrack through the levels.

Last night i collected all the star coins. To fully complete the game and get 3 stars after your saved game you need to open up all secret areas and then spend all the star coins (the backgrounds cost 20 each).

how do you get the extra mini games?
I've got about 14 so far, and thought that was it

I assume you have to unlock them?

That's including the multiplayer ones. Theres not as many purely single player minigames.
