I'm not sure why this is happening, but recently the screen on my DS has started to become very "scratchy" feeling, as though there is grit on there, despite being cleaned and applying the usual stylus pressure. Is this common? What can be done to cure it?

It shouldnt really go like that, have you tried LCD cleaner, I wouldnt recommend screen protectors unless you use the screen rarely. I spent £6 on some official Hori screen protectors and this was mainly to protect from playing Guitar Hero.

Result was a blurred screen after the screen was heavily used, you can also buy lint free cloths (think thats what they're called)

Hehe. Just bought some Hori protectors which are apparently the best ones. We'll see how it goes.

I have some isopropyl already but I was wondering if it would be too harsh. Is a micro fibre cloth suitable? The Hori protectors come with a lint free cloth, so maybe I'll wait for that. Cheers for the replies.

Well, the "screen protectors" arrived and to be honest they are complete horse ****. I am serious when I say I have never come across such a useless product. They are impossible to get on without dust specks getting all over them and once they are on they scratch instantly. What a joke!

have you checked the stylus? maybe thats been worn and might be a little bit sharp or something

you should stick with the screen protecter tho they are are a pain to get on, try to wait till it is a very hot day with a low humity, less dust then place it on, i tryed to get on on my sat nav but i rushed it, wish i had waited, £8 gone :(,

Screen protectors for the DS are not worth it, the bottom screen gets used a lot and if you use stylus intensive games loads of scratches will appear and blur the screen making it really annoying when playing games. The screen that comes with the DS is very tough so really only a screen protector on the top screen is needed (which is what i do).
