Guys, I bought a game code for Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate online, claimed it on the eStore on my 3DS and done. It took bloody HOURS to download even on my 150meg fiber line.

Anyway, it's taken over half of the measly 2GB SD card, whilst I intend to upgrade to a 16GB card. I'm kind of regretting buying the eStore version of the game and not having a cart so I can share the game with my girlfriend. Am I just going to have to learn from experience or is it possible to trade said game at least?

Thanks

If you've got a Nintendo ID it's tied to that, if not it'll be tied to your 3DS.

If it's tied to your 3DS you're stuffed. However if it is tied to your Nintendo ID you have to transfer the ID to your other halves 3DS, although that means deleting your ID and all stuff linked to it from your 3DS.

Ah, so basically, me being impatient has screwed me over. Oh well lol.

I will buy her the boxed version then at least we have a manual.

Thanks

It's always tied to the 3DS.

Buy Mario Bros 3 for £3.49 to cheer yourself up :p

But you can transfer all your content or merge content with another DS.

I know, I'm clearing up confusion about how the eShop downloads work. They are in no way tied to the NNID. You could do a system transfer long before NNIDs came to 3DS.

The 'manual' is only a quick start guide.

The actual manual is included on the game card (the download version would (or should) also include a full digital manual)

I thought they were tied to the NNID, wasn't that part of the point owning one?

Something is tied to the NNID, because when i formatted my console, which is the only way of removing a NNID, i couldn't re download my eshop games. But when i signed back into my NNID, i could download them again.

I tested this because i was planning on selling the console advertising the eshop games i have on it, but it looks like i cant do that.
