I know very little about the wii's and have a couple questions...

1) To play a 2 player game would I need 2 remote controls and 2 numchuk controllers or just 2 numchuk controllers?

2) What would I need a wii classic controller for?

Thanks

1) depends on the game, wario, play and sports use the remote mostly.
2) the classic controller is used with the downloadable games, you can use a gamecube controller too.

as above depends on the game,

Wii Play and wii sports all the games bar boxing dont need a nunchuck,

Games like mortal kombat armageddon, mario strikers and such need 2 controllers and 2 nunchucks.
The wario games vary, depending on game

As for classic controlelr, you only need it for classic games such as mario 64, and the older platformers

Just for the first question, you would need a wii-mote for each nunchuck, as the nunchuck controller fits into the wii-mote and is powered from the wii-motes' batteries.

would you say the classic controller is better than the gamecube controller?

Nope, but in some cases it's vital. Paper mario 64 won;t work with a GC controller for example. The D-PAD is also better on the classic but this is a negligible advantage.

I've just completed Paper Mario 64 and have been using a GC controller the whole time without any problems.
