Nintendo Wii Remote/Sensor Bar Issue

I would have thought that you'd have covered that angle anyway, but worth recommending. Does adjusting the sensitivity at all affect your range?

As a thought, try a couple of tea-lights on a coffee table a little closer to you.

Maximum thread revival. Well I ended up buying the 4gamers wireless Wii sensor bar and to my dismay, it also appears to have had little or no effect :o. It really is strange how some people can get up to 20 feet range and I barely manage 10. I think I might have to place the sensor bar on a coffee table (between my chair and the TV) or something. But how pathetic is that?! :(

Did you actually try the sensitivity option in the Wii settings? Because for me, and I'm sure, most other people, it does exactly what you've been wanting - adjusts the range of the remotes.

Find it in the options menu, sit at the distance you want the remotes to work from, and adjust the number until the sensor bar LEDs show up nice and solid on screen.

Sensitivity was set to maximum last time I checked.

Have you tried turning down the sensitivity? Sometimes it can pick up reflections and that confuses it.

I'll try it next time I'm home. Is there a chance with all the swinging and punching of the remote could have damaged it's sensor inside?

Yeah, you may have overdone it, since, I think, when you put up the range, it also increases the minimum distance you're allowed to be, as well as the max.

That said, I'm not entirely certain that a higher sensitivity is neccesarily a longer range. You might want to whack it right down, not up.

Just do as I said originally, and adjust it until the lights show up clearly on the screen.
