Was just wondering if anyone has tried this and can say what its like quality/originality.

Also if anyone can recommend a good game on thier, Mario 3 looks quite good!

Well its the biggest sold console ever so it must be doing something right.

Funnily enough I've never played on one, and won't get too until Xmas, so will post my thoughts then. In the mean time I'd suggest doing a search for "wii" on here or on google and check out reviews :)

Bomberman for The TurboGrafx is worth a blast, especially seeing as its 5 player!

I haven't looked on it for months so not sure if any of the new stuff is good.

I used to import my consoles in the old days, and I can say the PAL versions have been very good, no complaints from me. They play exactly like the originals, Im running them on a 32" Samsung LCD and they look better than the old interlaced CRT but a bit jaggy, you get used to it.
Virtual console is a big bonus for me as Ive got kids who are pulling old cartridges out of the junk room and its easier just to download them to the Wii and let them choose that way and play with wireless controllers.

Super Marioworld is awesome in its game design, should not be missed, it will take a while to get used to the graphics and may be a bit cute for some people.

A console that has surprised me is the Turbo Grafix, and the games are good value, if you like arcade shooters then get R-Type and Galaga 90, perhaps Super Star Soldier.

Mario Kart 64 is a must, this is quality gaming, but again too cute for some people, well worth the 1000 points if others arn't.

Mario 3 is legendary with the game design and some people prefer it to Super MarioWorld.

Definitely get Bomberman, I'll say that straight out. You have a Wii, so you're bound to get friends wanting to play, and it's actually the best multiplayer game on the Wii.

Otherwise, it depends on what you've played already really. If you've never owned a Nintendo console before, my god, there's an absolute ton of great stuff on there to play already. Get the top rated stuff like the Marios and the Zeldas first, because they aren't to be missed.

I'm a bit of a multiplayer nut, so I'd recommend things like Streets of Rage, Gain Ground, Golden Axe, Mean Bean Machine, Mario Kart and Gunstar Heroes as well, but that's up to you really. Have a look on somewhere like GameRankings if you've no idea what's good or not, and pick the best rated games.
