Being a fan of the Xbox360, i am wondering whether or not the Wii is worth buying?

The most appealing thing of the Wii for me, is Wii Sports.

What do you think?

Buy a Wii, or carry on with the X360 (will keep it anyway).

Is the Wii worth the cash?

Both offer different sorts of games, Wii is better for party/minigame style multiplayer stuff, the 360 is better at 'serious' games, single player and online multiplayer stuff.

I have both and they complement each other well, both have been great buys :)

I think i would preferably only buy it for Wii Sports and perhaps some other game.

Wii Sports just looks amazing!

The Wii ius great and completely different in a lot of ways from a 360. It's like having a racing car and a quad bike, both different kinds of fun. :P

Its good fun with a few people, but it is still quite limited. There are other games out now, and coming out that are just as good fun.

I managed to buy one on friday.
The sports games are very good more so if a few friends or family play.
I also bought zelda which is also very good.
I also have a 360 and you really cant compare the two consoles.
The wii is a console for fun games with friends or family where the 360 is a machine for more serious gameplay.
Its the control system that makes the wii anybody can pick it up and play straight away.
If you want some fun playing game i would recommend the wii.
Bonus it will keep you bloody fit as well try the boxing to get a sweat on
Yes i would say its worth the cash.

How realistic is the boxing?

Its pretty good you have to protect your head by keeping your gloves up and swaying and moving about and punching with both hands.
Believe me you will get a sweat on.
I like the ten pin bowling and the golf.
If you like adventure type games zelda is very good.
The wii is a console that will get people you were not interested in games to play.
I was in two minds should i buy one or not and when i walked in a shop that had just recieved some stock i bit the bullet and bought one.
I dont regret. It is a real fun machine if you like gaming.
As i have a 360 and now a wii i wont be buying a ps3 at least until the price comes down to a respectible level nearly £500 with a game is stupid for a console.

I just bought a Wii recently and can honestly say it's worth every penny.

The only thing I would STRONGLY recommend you buy is either the RGB SCART cable (for those of us, like me, who don't yet have an HDTV) or component cables if you have an HDTV. They really make a difference to the visual quality.

Obviously the Wii's graphics aren't up to the standard of the XB360 or the upcoming PS3 but then they were never meant to be. The way in which the games are played make the big distinction here and that's where the Wii really shines. It wholly depends on what you want from a game.

Try before you buy. I would say the sports games show what great potential it has for this type of gaming. But there isn't enough to warrant a purchase. When they turn those demo type games into full price games I'd say it's worth buying then, not really before.

I have a Wii and a PS3. I took the Wii around my Dad's yesterday and four of us had a round of golf and then played bowling. My wife likes playing the Wii too, and yet whilst I love the PS3 there's no way either of them would have been interested in any game on it.

Wii is a sociable console to play with friends n family etc, yet still fun on your own. Whereas the 360/PS3 is good for the usually solitude style gaming etc.

Both completely different so definately worth owning both. I love the golf on Wii sports and can't wait for Tiger Woods to come out on it.
