Nintendo Wiis out of stock agian.

You can get Mario Galaxy from the place I'm not even supposed to hint about right now, it seems to come in and out of stock but it's up and available as I type ...

NO COMPETITOR HINTING - Zefan.

No problems in Switzerland with games or consoles. Always seemed to be stock and selling well. Nintendo seem to be owning most of the Shelf space as well, at least 2/3rd are Nintendo openly. While Xbox360, PS3, PS2 and PSP share the rest. I assume the shops allocate space depending on their sales to optimise profit. My social group seems to indicate, around a dozen friends with Wiis, several more want to buy soon. No one at all has a Ps3 or Xbox 360.

i managed to get hold of one on 27th december. went round to my sis-in-laws house on boxing day and they had got one for xmas. the next day me n the mrs setoff to get one. we went around every shop in Grimsby, and nowhere had them in stock. i came home, went online, and did a search on a certain catalogue company's website, and found they had one in Hull, so ireserved it online, and drove over to get it :D we then needed another remote + nunchuck, so we went around every shop in hull we could find that sold electrical equipment, and nowhere had one, so we setoff back home to grimsby,a nd went around all the shops we had been in that morning. ended up getting the remote from tesco... last one they had in stock too :-o

i went around sainsburys last night, and they had a single copy of Mario Galaxy for £29.99. i was soo tempted to get it

Its the equivalent of

"Get in the car i have sweets!"
"HA NO SWEETS!"

i like that :p

james.miller, mario galaxy is in stock in most high street stores i've vistited this week (although not as cheap as online obv)

The DS Lite is the same, ridiculous prices and almost everywhere out of stock unless you are prepared to pay £160 for a bundle deal with the crappest games ever.

So your fiancee bought from an American seller on Marketplace who likely mentioned it was coming from America. And now it's ******'s fault?

Every single American seller on Marketplace has it somewhere in the description.

No excuse for not reading through it tbh.

No quite, no. The seller is based all over Europe, UK, Japan and the US. They dispatched from their US depot, not the UK one. It even says on the invoice purchased through ***** UK. Besides, wouldn't you honestly expect, being a non-gamer and having no awareness of PAL or NTSC regions, that buying from a UK site along with UK sellers and in UK currency and having a UK-base, that my fiancee would know that the game would be US?

I read the seller's description itself, and it wasn't at all clear that it would be a PAL or NTSC version or even that it would come from the US. I thought it was very misleading. Interestingly, the seller is no longer listed for the game.

Just before Christmas everywhere had them in Sheffield. Picked one up having sold my first one months ago.

Just out of interest, what prompted you to sell, and then buy again further down the line?

(BTW, the company are refunding me for Galaxy, having admitted they didn't list the item correctly. Don't need to send the game back either.)

It just wasn't getting used so I moved it on while I could get what I paid for it. These days there's more stuff out that I want to play, so bought another.
