NIP

Two weeks ago today I was stopped for going through a red light.

I have received nothing through the post. On the TOR the location of the alleged offence is wrong. i reported this error about 30 minutes after I was stopped. i was called back by a Sergeant who said he would speak to the officer in question.

On the back of the form is says if i have received nothing after 21 days the contact the ticket office.

My understanding is you should received the NIP no later than 14 days from the offence.

What I don't want to happen is being accused of ignoring any NIP. What should I do next?

I was flashed over 2 weeks back, so far nowt but sadly I think this is down to Mercedes not telling Arval they have given me a car. I sense it will come back down the line in due course. I think it was around 55 in a 50, such an evil killer I am.

If you were stopped by a traffic unit then that was your NIP as far as I'm aware.

Yup

IIRC NIP is either the letter sent when they've caught you but not stopped you (camera etc) or the warning when stopped.

As above you have already been notified, the letter your wating for is to accept your punishment or take it to court.

6 months. Verbally nipped at roadside. Location is admin error, no defence.

Going through a red light was an admin error on his part.
