Whats the opinion on here then?

Seems to be a Marmite thing, people either love them or hate them.

I love them. One of the best bands from the early 90's imo.

Love them. My username is taken from their song on Incesticide "Sliver". They are the reason I took up guitar playing, some 20 years ago now. Playing guitar is perhaps my greatest pleasure in my spare time and so I thank them for the inspiration.

Love them. Can absolutely understand why someone would hate them though.

Yeh absolutely.

Favourite album? Mine has got to be In Utero, simply for Rape Me, Frances Farmer, Dumb and Pennyroyal Tea.

Although if MTV Unplugged counts then that's my answer!

Favourite album?

Hard to pick a favourite. Depends on my mood. Many of my favourite songs are not from the studio albums, although a lot are. On "With the Lights Out" there are some great songs, like "Verse Chorus Verse", "Token Eastern Song", "Blandest", "Clean up Before She Comes", "Here she comes now", and of course not forgetting, "You Know You're Right". Epic band from an epic era. ;)

hmm, not got that.

Have the complete discography here (So I thought) will have to have a look for that one!

Used to hang out with people who would listen to them on a daily basis, so that kind of put me off. Would watch nirvana dvd's at their houses, they'd constantly be talking about kurt as a genius etc etc.

I did borrow In Utero off one of my mates and thought it was ok.

I do like some of the other bands that got lumped with the grunge label, like soundgarden pearl jam alice in chains and melvins.

Their style just isn't my cup of tea really.

Because of "It Smell's like Teen Spirit" popularity (especially in the early 2000's when Kerrang! used to play it every other song) I tried to dislike them. But they are incredible, In Utero being my favourite.

They are my favourite band of all time. It is that simple.

I can also say say quite proudly, that I saw them at Reading Festival back in 1992. I will take that to my grave.
