Seen a 63 plate for 13K. Are these any good? I am looking for something pretty fast and a bit different.

The Juke Nismo uses Nissan's MR16DDT engine, which is an improvement over the fantastic chain driven MR20DE. Engine wise these are pretty reliable so long as they have been serviced regularly.

I've driven one of these, it was alright if you don't mind how small the Juke is - reasonably nippy but the usual dead steering and pedals, no real noise to speak of either.

If you want a slightly quicker shopping trolley its the one for you

I've driven one. They are awful. A Micra on stilts that no longer looks unique in a world of 'funky' SUVs. And 200bhp and nearly 8 seconds for 0 to 60 is rather pathetic compared to the current crop of hot hatches.

If you want a Juke, buy a normal one. If you want a fast hot hatch, buy a hot hatch.

I've had one temporarily and it's awful, ugly and wtf were they thinking with the headlights. It drives like a boat as well

I had a Juke for a week whilst I waited for my new car, it was not comfortable for the larger man (6"3) nor was the MPG very good considering I was doing only motorway miles. The boot is naff, ride wise was ok, nothing special. Not sure on the Nismo!

I see too many of these on the road with all 6 lights on which has made me hate them. I've never even been near one though so I can't say much.

I liked the ride height in my Juke, and the power seemed adequate enough for what it was. Whether or not it's going to be enough for you OP depends entirely on your requirements of course.

They come with a great amount of kit as well, pretty much won't leave you wanting for much.

Quoting 0-60 times isn't greatly indicitive of pace, though.

I had an RS Clio 200 and a Juke Dig-T (which I believe was circa 190bhp), and the Clio always felt slower, despite an improved 0-62 time of 1.1s over the Juke.

Same. I despise them, more so when they have all 6 lights on.

Don't see the point of them. Just get a Fiesta ST.

You're best off just trying one for yourself, everyone has different taste and standards. Whatever makes you happy is what you should get

We've got a 64 Mini Countryman Cooper SD and I very much enjoy driving it and like how it looks but folks on here will have a huge list of reasons why it's a pile of crap. :cool:

We've only got a 63 plate one. On ours is the inferior Cooper as it only has an S.

Make sure you drive a better hot hatch (i.e. any) and a better SUV (I.e. any) as well, to form an educated opinion.

The Juke had one USP, its quirky looks, but they are no longer unique so its now just meh. The Nismo is just expensive meh thats crashed into Halfords.

the most pointless car in the history of time is the cooper SD, I mean a sporty derv come on mini, they just butchered a good car by putting a dag dag in it, I bet when you hammer it, it looks like a bonfire

The mini countryman is a better buy than a juke by miles anyway
