Nix's F@H Headache

My folding is borked again, I just completely a 20hr WU and it uploaded it as anonymous even though I've put my details in 3 times now :mad:

You didnt shift anything around(files or folders) once you had set it all up did you?

Think it's solved now, teething problems or something... I'll give a shout if it does it again.
 
i think it was probably due to having edited the config file manually - even after it was done properly it seems maybe the damage was aready done the first time around

advised to delete config file and try again - hope that sorts it :)


errr i don't think a thread has ever been so derailed :o

even I am learning new stuff every day :o

i'm sure i was told that as long as you changed the name before the end of the WU that it would work fine - maybe that's how it used to work "back in the day" :confused:

I'm fairly sure that when I folded under Stan's name for winning the Xeon battle names competition that the first WU when I changed the name counted for him and not me - could have been mistaken though of course :p

I started a fresh WU before my nick got sorted out. Does that mean I should cancel it and start again? It's currently at 14%...
 
Nah, keep at it until it's done. If you nuke it they'll have to wait until its deadline to resend it so that that part of the project can move on to the next stage. We're in it for the science, not the credit.

EDIT: Actually, you can go to the official FAH forums and ask that they change the name attaced to the WU. They can change the entry in their database so that it will credit to Nix at team 10.

Does the program recognise the ampersand '&' as part of the name?

My name in the config is: Nix_&_Yewen

but when I goto "My stats" in FahMon, it goes to "Nix_"

Any ideas anyone?
