Hi people, I'm trying to make an unattended windows cv. But need some help.

1) you can included hotfixes and updates, but where do you download these from in file form?

2) I'm sure I heard theres away to save software on to the cd and it installs them as well. (dont worry no copyright stuff as its all open source). So is this possible and how?

Thanks...

Hi,

There's a guy called Ryan has compiled the hotfixes/etc into a pack for use with nLite. Have a look here: http://ryanvm.msfn.org/

he's also done some installers which you can add, but i haven't actually tried any of them yet. But i have tried his hotfix patch and it worked for me when i used nlite to create some PC's using VMWare :)

Edit: Meant to say, Ryan's got a guide on how to include his hotfix pack in nLite

Edit again: Found his instructions here: http://www.ryanvm.net/msfn/nlite.html

No one now how to do this? Ive found some software that can be added like adobe pdf reader. It appears you need to make a cab file for the software you want included. Anyone any ideas, google just hints about such things, but doesn't seem to help with how to do it.

ocuk is not a good place to ask for advice on this, not enough users do it tbh..

use the msfn forums and first of all , you HAVE to read this..

http://unattended.msfn.org/

very detailed guide, tells you everything pretty much

just use these..

nlite
ryanvm
xpize

-nlite can integrate them both as hotfixes

don't barge straight into the forum asking questions before reading that site, you'll just get flamed
