How does driver integration happen in nlite? What if it was to be installed on a machine without the devices? Would it error or just install the defaults?

Reason I ask is im testing on my work pc with virtual pc

driver integration just adds drivers in a folder C:\windows\nldrv

you could add the drivers for all your home pc's on the same disc, will work fine..

it just adds to the windows driver database really :)

Hmm glad someone has asked this as I have been struggling with Nlite and VMWare regarding driver intergration.

I have never used VMWare before so it could be I am doing something wrong of course.

I have checked my windows\nldrv folder on my ISO created by NLite and it appears the drivers are in there but I have assumed that the virtual machine that has been created is a exact copy of my machine?Correct me if I am wrong but it doesnt appear to be.

Am I right in thinking that I basically have to install the ISO to my pc to see if it works? If this is the case it kind of defeats the point of using VMWare.

Anyone care to explain how to get the ATI CP installed on my Nlited disc?

Apologies to the OP if this is hijacking his thread(will delete if you request)

Cheers

Steve

vmware does not emulate your hardware..

it has its own ones, i think it uses things like creative sound blaster

no point testing drivers with vmware

just get another hard drive or partition to test on

To integrate drivers into your XP installation disk just use this driver integrator.

Clicky

Just download the BASE (the integrator) then the driver packs you want, if you download graphics A, it also integrates the Catalyst Control Centre.
