nlite help

hey,

I'm trying to make a fully automated nlite install and am coming across a couple of problems.

My first problem is the installation format. How can I automate this? After a good google I can't seem to find anything decent in which sets the disk to do a quick format.

Secondly the security center screen keeps coming up, the one where you can use recommended settings etc. I've removed the security center feature in which I hoped would get rid of this but to no avail.

Have you tried the nLite/vLite forums at http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?showforum=89?

Check out http://www.nliteos.com/guide/part1.html, the 6th screenshot down shows a button for unattended setup. Is that what you want help on?

Hey,

I've resolved the second part and have had a good scan on the nLite forums.

I'm using an unattended setup with XP everything works great except nlite doesn't seem to format the drive. Is this normal behavior?

I swear I've made nLite set my ISOs to format the drive when I used XP. :confused:

Might help to have a look through all the menus. Sometimes the settings you want can be hidden.

MarcLister do you know what version of nlite you were using?

I've done two different nlite cd's on two different machines and both require a format. Tested on a VM and on hardware. Seems quite strange.

It would have been whatever was the latest version of nLite at the time.

I did briefly use the 1.4.9.1 version I think, which is still the latest?
