nlite, it's back!

Haven't used nLite for years. Was a great tool for underfunded IT techs shepherding crusty XP machines, that's for sure. Not sure how much use it would be to me today though

Another new version out.

Also.

nLite for Windows 7, 8 and 8.1?
2013.08.28
Ever since I released the nLite update after so many years, I am getting the same question: will there be nLite for Windows 7+, is current nLite update all there is?
The answer is that I am working on such a tool, release date is unknown, but it can be counted in months, not years.
Unfortunatelly my quality bar is now much higher so I will not be releasing alpha versions to the public, still considering betas.
I'll post news here as soon as there is any, in the meantime nLite will be updated as it would be if I never left.

Not really sure why he'd bother releasing a new version for XP and not just concentrate on a Win7/8 version. Still good news.

The things he's added for nlite are things people wanted, such as IE8 intergration and XP does still have it's uses on older machines, due to being very lightweight, even more so with nlite, so it's not totally pointless. He is working on a Windows 7/8 version so he may as well release fixes/patches for his already existing product rather then just keeping on telling everyone he is working on a newer version.
