Hi all, or should I say bledd lol

I want to add some extra files to the cd, like ms virtual pc, steam installer etc, but how do I add them to the iso which nlite creates? and where should I put them?

Ta

cheers dude. Sounds like hard work lolz. Might just put the setup files on the disk itself. Can nlite allow you to add files to the disk and add them to the iso for you?

edit: just read the links :)

Off topic but I tried an nLite install today. I added my drivers and removed crap and made the install unattended. I also set my screen res and refresh rate yet when I installed Windows and ran it the screen res was 640x480. If you're on MSN sometime this week bledd perhaps we can work out what I'm doing wrong?

I think I need to start understanding a VMware setup so I can test my nLite before I screw around with my installs.
I tried vmware but found I got mouse lag when in the virtual machine. I now use MS Virtual PC and find it much better :)

Er you can't PM on OcUK forums. I've done a few installs with nLite now but my main gripe is the fact that I don't seem to be able to get XP to run at 1280x1024@75Hz from the off.
Mine doesnt seem to accept the new res details either

no that does the same thing as vmware I believe.

With regards to ryanvm, do I just download

Post-SP2 Update Pack 2.1.4

And then use the addons part of nlite in the same way? I assume this should be at the top of the list?

ive already created an nlite session and deleted all the stuff i dont need, set all the preferences up etc. Do I need to start from scratch again?

no, just only select addons, add rvm next next next etc, so you get the 'processing' screen, where it adds files etc (takes 3-10 mins)

then quit nlite and start over (this time dont add rvm), and carry on as normal

personally i never use the last session ini's
So you select all the options each time? :o

Think i'll just use automatic updates, cba to start again lol

Also, if ive already copied the files from the cd to a directory, integrated some sp2 and some addons, will I need to re-copy the files from the original cd before I integrate ryanvm?
