Anyone been, I'm going to one tonight at the UEA Norwich, wondered if anyone had seen the tour yet..

Should be a good night, I heard the View are suposed to be great live

They're great live :) Seen them three times now and everytime they've been awesome. Not going to see them in May unless they have some new material.

Saw the tour last Sunday in Manchester, didn't go for the first two bands (the horrors and someone else...) as well, they're pants!

I was suprised that the Automatic headlined it but I suppose they were the bigger band when the tour was announced. Not that I mind the automatic, they were pretty good and I do like a few of teir songs.

You'll have a great time :)

Roll on the NME Rave Tour for me on the 17th :D

Well I enjoyed the Tour

MUMM-RA - Better then I expected
The Horrors - WTF!!!!! put ona great show thou with the stage diving etc
The View - Well what can I say, best band of the night, they were great live!!
The Automatic - Average tbh saved by a cover of gold digger from the live lounge and playing one of they're new songs.

i went to the birmingham NME Tour....
My Thoughts....
Mumm-Ra... very average band, but really have some potential to do well, good live band, did well considering they had a paralized guitarist!
The Horrors - Words cant describe how bad they are, i dont understand hwo this 'music' is classed as indie
The View - not worth all the NME hype they have had, good band but i expected better to be honest, they sort of blend into the background.
The Automatic - Absolutly imense, considering im nto a huuuge fan of this band, they really did rock the place, you can see why everybody in the band has said Pennie got them famous.. hes a nut case! and he hurts when he dives ontop of you... ouch :(

over-all.. great gig and well worth it!! got super sweaty though!! great stuff!

They are good live. I cant see how you say theyre awful live. Theyre not the best ive ever seen, but far from awful.

you cant hear a word any of them are saying, im scottish and still cant work it out, plus they just yell down the mic and everything sounds so distorted, the gigs are full of neds aswell.....i can go on....

i dont mind a couple of their songs but they are the most over-rated band since the arctic monkeys and thier album is full of fillers. in 6 months time everyone will have forgotten about them

i agree with most of that, very over-rated, but still a good band. not worth all the hype! as ive already said, but i dont know if its a scottish thing but what would neds be doing at an indie gig?

as they are from a very rough area of dundee (dryburgh) their hometown fans seems to follow them everywhere they go. its a bit like oasis....every noticed an oasis concert is packed full of chavs?

I'm going ot pop along ot the Exeter gig, so woudl people sya it's not worth going for the first two acts?

I've not heard any of their stuff myself, usually don't bother turning up to gigs until just before the main act unless I've heard good things about the support. 99% of the time the support are terrible in my experiance, only had a couple of gigs where they've been ace and one where I think they outperformed the main act.

I wouldn't go to the first two (well I didn't infact :p).

We got there for about 8.45pm/9.00pm (started at 7.30pm) and the view came on shortly after.

Strange that, I'm a northern with a generic accent who's been around similar people to myself all of my life and I can pretty much sing along to the whole CD :p

Yes they get hyped up a lot, personally I never pay much attention to it and judge them on what I think of bands. There are far to many people who love to hate bands that are hyped :)

Yes, heard their new tune on mtv2 this morning whilst waking up in bed. It actually made me get out of bed and get in the shower within the first couple of seconds of the song. Normally I'll quite happily lie there for a few songs before getting up :p

worst band i know at the moment... its poor must and their keys player gets on my ****, lead singer needs a style check.. along with a new voicebox... poor!

im quite open minded to all music, but this is just pants!
