Anyone going to the NME new rave tour tommorow in Cardiff?

Klaxons
CSS
The Sunshine Underground
New Young Pony

Gunna get my glowsticks out. Haven't seen CSS yet so looking foward to chatting lovefoxx up :p

Going in Manchester next Saturday :D

How was it? (Well you're probably there now :p

Looking forward to:

Klaxons,
Sunshine,
CSS,
Pony.

In that order :)

And yes, glow sticks at the ready :D

I went to school with Sy and James from Klaxons, they were good mates of mine. See them back in Stratford from time to time and they offer to get me into their gigs for free, but I can't stand their music!

went to the gig in glasgow....was great fun. klaxons were on good form as were sunshine underground who i think are really under-rated. css really got the crowd going although im not a huge fan, the lead singer had great stage presence....didnt see nypc although didnt hear great things bout them

Me and my mates absolutely love The Sunshine Underground and I'm looking forward to them as much as Klaxons. Can't believe they've not taken off as big as they should have by now. Hopefully this tour should help. Watching them at the Ritz in Manc in May too :)

i wanted to try and get tickets for the wolves gig but unfortunatly i was a bit late and they were all sold out :(

wish id have known, would have given u my spare one! lol

i still have it if you want it? its useless now but u know! lol

effin amazing gig! brilliant atmosphere, fantastic music, glow sticks and crowd surfing, brilliant! woooo!

The glowsticks craze is possibly the naffest thing ever. That new Enter Shikari video with the same plodding nu-metal we've seen for 5 years suddenly revitalises the genre because of its "rave" influenced glow sticks. It's the least ravey music I've ever heard. If you tied a load of glowsticks to Lost Prophets they'd probably end up on the NME tour.

lost prophets arnt good enough for NME, lol

Enter Shakiri isnt rave, i do agree.. its noise with idiots!

This 'new rave' is it musically anything like the 'rave of old' (breakbeats, basslines, samples of old childrens shows circa 1992)? or is it just a bunch of kids in tight jeans jumping around with glosticks to indie music?

Used to love stuff like Altern8, etc

The latter.

Wish I could get tickets to the Sheffield one at a reasonable price. Going for a fortune on the ol' auction site : [!
