no anti-virus on X99 pre built bundles?

Ive finally finished my build for my next PC before i start diving into self building pcs but I've noticed that the x99 pre builts (the ones with the 6 core processer options) doesnt come with the option to add an anti virus software like the intel haswell pre built bundles... im just wondering if im missing anything before I buy some anti virus software separately to go with my new pre build...

just use windows defender
every time someone does a big review on anti-virus they come up with a different "best" result, so to me it isn't worth paying for one when in a couple of months it could be bottom of the pile again... windows defender is always light on usage and usually comes middle of the pack somewhere, so whilst it might not be "the best" it is far from the worst, doesn't gum up your PC with bloatware and is pretty decent

mmm and i usually browser the net from my tablet and go to the same few sites regularly anyway...

There are a few good free antiviruses that are just as good (meybe even better) as paid ones.

Windows defender comes pre-installed in Windows 8/8.1.
Was my choice beforehand anyway, but save's the hassle anyway!
