No backplate?

I will be getting a new Lanboy case in a few days and wondering if it harms my pc by not using a backplate for the mobo ports.

Only reason im not using one now is i got my mobo from bgrade so didnt get one. Is it worth asking in MM before i get the new case or dosent it matter?

Will it improve ventilation without it?

i've not used a backplate since i rebuilt my pc..

wont make any difference at all..

Wouldn't harm anything, all it will really do is allow more noise to escape from the case. More dust might get in but if you have air flowing in from the front of the case and out the back, dust shouldnt be an issue.

it didnt, all i got was a ( brand new sealed ) mobo nothing else was in the box, but for £35 im not complaining.

Now i do get quite a bit of dust. its interesting you say about air intake as my current case only has a side intake fan and 3 exhaust fans ( 2 rear and i at the top ).

The new case im getting has 120mm fans front and rear

Scythe do a universal motherboard backplate kit.

Usually the motherboard manufacturer will send you one for around £5 if you ask them.
