Long story short, my t630 has had a "rough" couple of weeks, my daughter has been chewing it and chucking it around. The battery connection terminals are gone, the 5 pins that push into the battery, that bit is now missing. So i can't turn it on. I can still plug the charger in, but nothing seems to happen.

I've got the standard usb cable and the terminator dongle. Is there any way of getting the messages/photos/ringtone/phone numbers off the phone?

Or do i have to rip the battery connector out of my old t610 (which works perfectly) to power up the t630?

Also, does anybody know what sort of port the k300i has on the base? Was going to get one as a v-day pressy for the missus, but the local shop only had them on vodaphone, so i need to unlock it for Orange, was wondering if i need another cable.

1. Phones don't tend to do much when turned on or connected to USB without the battery - unless someone else has a better idea, the best I can think of is ripping the terminals out of the T610i if you don't really need that one anymore (to be honest, neither phone is worth terribly much by now anyway)

Alternatively - get a really, really cheap second hand? Maybe buy a broken one on an auction site for parts?

2. K300i has the same ports on the bottom as the T610/630. In fact, all SE phones except those which have come out in the last year or so (K750i onwards) all have the same port.

instead of taking the connecter out just switch the board from the 2 phones for a while, im sure they have the same main chassis with the connecters located in the same place, 2 second job with a t6
