No Beeps!

I cant anything to display on the monitor - i removed the ram but when i turn on the pc, i dont get any beeps.
Are the slots dead or could there be another reason?

Could you list your complete system spex? Also, have you tried clearing the CMOS and have you made any major hardware changes recently?

It was given to me broken, not a great spec, i mean its a pfft Compaq Evo Pentium 4. The memory is ddr 2700
Its got a cmos button which ive tried but with luck.

The mobo has power, as do all the fans and the hdd. I've tried 3 fx cards including the onboard one, but that was before i realised the problem with the memory slots
