Hi guys,

Sorry if this is a bit of a daft question:

I've currently got 1 years NCB on my current car which will be 2 years in October. Now, at the end of June I intend to buy a 350Z and will part-ex my existing car. That'll make it 3 months away from the 2 years NCB.

My question is: is there any way to transfer the 1yr9mths NCB to another company, or do they only go buy whole years? (meaning I'd lose the 9mths).

Thought about that - I think it's going to be too expensive. I currently have modded car insurance with Adrian Flux, I haven't tried a quote for the 350 through them but am told it'll be expensive.

Well rather than going by what you've been told, give it a try ;)

I don't understand how anyone can "predict" how much a car insurance quote will be! Just get a quote, u may be pleasantly surprised!

I was in a similar position, the insurance on my 320i was due to expire but I had over a month left. I was waiting until I had 3 yrs NCB I was just a month and a half short. I bought a 330ci and my current insurance company would not insure me on that vehicle at all.

The company I was going to go with, after I had a chat to them on the phone, started my policy a month and a half early and put down 3 yrs NCB even though it wasn't quite 3 yrs yet.
