I have a tricky one with regards to my no-claims.
I have given the car to the girlfriend, and she has put me on as a named driver, so I can still use it whenever I want. so dont have my no-claims tied up any more!
oakesy2001uk's no-claims history...
1st year Aprillia RS125
2nd year Focus 1.6
3rd year Focus 1.6
4th year Focus/corsa
I now have 4 years no-claims from the above. Now Bennets will not allow me to use this no-claims on my bike, although tesco origonally allowed me to use my bike no-claims on my car
.
I currently have no accidents to my name car or bike, but have not had insurance on a bike since the 125 (apart from current policy) I rode my 400 on car DOC Cover and got my dad to insure it for theft (sneaky but 100% legal).
I now want to cancel my 4 month old bike policy and take out a new fully comp bike policy (currently TPFT). Bennets wont let me do this, will any other insurers? I will have a ring round over the next few days, but I just wanted to know if any one else has done this.
I thaught no-claims was no-claims, car or bike, all my previous insurers have certainly thaught so untill now.
