Purchased this motherboard from Overclockers last month, basically, in the voltage settings part of the mobo, i'm not seeing CPU VCORE options, so I am unable to overclock my i5 2500k to 4.5ghz.

I have v3 firmware...

Can anyone explain what is going on here?

Do you have V1.0 of the motherboard?

The voltage options are different.

Perhaps Dynamic Vcore (DVID) is the one you want?

Possibly it works like an offset voltage.

Hopefully someone with the motherboard can confirm.

Yes, I have revision 1.0

Not sure what dynamic vcore does exactly, will wait for some verification. If anyone here knows if this will serve the purpose of getting the vcore up for a overclock, please let me know.

Hi, I have this board and a 2500k at 4.5 I'm using F5 bios (off the top of my head). There's a bios utility on the supplied CD that will let you update in windows.

To get to 4.5 I left everything on auto apart from upping the Dynamic Vcore by about 0.050v, changing the multiplier to 45 and setting my vengeance ram to XMP settings.

This gives a vcore load of about 1.344 running IBT on maximum and 67c on the highest core with a H50 cooler, push/pull fans.

Its an easy way to overclock and you get loverly low temps when just browsing as it throttles back to 1600mhz

Been a while bit on some GB boards you have to press f11 or something to get access to the advanced options. Can't remember the keystoke but I seem to remember have to do it on an old p35 board I had.

Have you tried resetting the BIOS to default?
Some setting you might have changed like allowing an OS to alter settings can lock out your ability to do it in the BIOS.

When I was playing around on my MSI, I changed something and EIST option completely disappeared until I restored the default bios.
