My monitor froze tonight while internet browsing and then i just got a black screen and i cant suss out why.?
My Pc is a relatively new build 9 months old and most of the time i use it to play BF4 with no issues.I have checked the hdmi cable, and monitor which work fine on my ps3.
The Pc starts up and sounds as if its booting normally but i get nothing on screen,i have moved the Gfx card to the other slot and tried another power cable without success.Unfortunately i dont have another gfx card to test. All fans are running constantly except the gpu fan which slowly spins, stops, spins, stops
If i remove the extra power to the gpu (so its just connected to the mobo) the gpu fan runs constant.
No power to keyboard/mouse lights, no beeps and nothing on screen
The psu is brand new 3 weeks old, is there anything else i could check before i swap the gfx card?
thanks in advance

Clear cmos? Usually a bad crash will Bork it hence boot loops, could be something else but I'd start there

Try reseating the graphics card if that fails try the 2nd PCI-Express x16 slot as a test too, to rule out a dead PCI-Express slot. Also try other PCI-Express power cables too to your card to rule out a dead cable.

Sorted now thanks guys ;)
Turns out it was a badly seated stick of ram in slot 4.
I removed it and it booted fine with the 1 8gb stick then refitted it and all is well.
