I recently updated my CPU/GPU to the following

AMD Ryzen 5600 6 core AM4
Radeon 6700xt GFX card

The rest of the specs look like this:
Gigabyte AB350 gaming motherboard
16GB Team group vulcan RAM
Samsung evo 850 250gb
Samsung evo 840 250gb

I simply took out the old Ryzen 5 1500x and GTX 1060, reconnected up and now when i press the power button the PC appears to start but i get no display. Even if i put the old components back in now i get exactly the same problem.
Ive tried using only a single ram stick and ive also removed all the excess storage drives all with the same result. Its making me think that the motherboard has somehow died a death, but i dont know if there is some way i can confirm for that thats the problem without actually replacing it - does anyone have any ideas?

Try clearing the CMOS on your motherboard by removing the bios battery for 10mins , if no look check the CPU for bent pins

You need update the bios on your motherboard for the new CPU to be recognised ?

Check what bios version you have at the moment as there may be a specific update order rather than just updating to the latest.

Yeah i tried removing the battery, and resetting cmos by jumping the connector also with no joy.
I did wonder if the bios was the problem but i now cant get in there as i get no display signal at all even with all the old components back in

So check the pins on the CPU.

There is a clear CMOS jumper on your motherboard I think so refer manual to that to set it.

Dissconect the power from the wall , remove bios battery also while setting the jumper, and leave for 10mins . Reset the jumper and install battery then try booting with your old CPU and GPU with one stick of ram in the correct slot

Edit . Seen you tried the CMOS but try it again but leaving it longer as above.

I managed to get it back working the old components in and update bios to the latest version f51l - then as soon as i put the new cpu on its the same problem. I actually found a thread somewhere on reddit i think that said the version 1.0 needs a VRM rework and for that it would need to go to gigabyte - im starting to think replacing it might be the most straight forward option!

There was someone on here that I read only a few days ago and they had to do something silly and I strongly suspect it was a Gigabyte and it was updating to EVERY bios.

Well have you tried kicking it yet?? :D

Just to be really clear, have you tried stepping up the firmware one at a time? I tried to 'jump' firmware to the latest version initially and had exactly this problem, it was when I downloaded each bios update and tried.upgrading one at a time that it worked - pretty laborious, but did the trick....!

Interesting, i think i went straight from f51c to f51l but there are a couple of releases between them so i will roll back to the old version then do them one at a time

No joy unfortunately, rolled back to the old bios version, then ran updates for both chipset and bios one increment at time to end up back with my blank screen.
