No display being output

Hey guys, in need of urgent help...Im literally in the middle of building my first rig...

got everything in, hit the power switch, can here it booting up, fans spinning e.t.c but nothing is being output on my monitor. Am using a VGA connection but have also tried the HDMI on the mobo AND GFX card..

using an asus z77 extreme 4 mobo and a Sapphire HD 7850..

in need of urgent help guys

Full system specs?

Have you tried both DVI connections on the 7850, since only one DVI port can output VGA signals.

talking of display...can anyone recommend some decent benchmarking progs..i tried 3dmarks but there was some sort of error with the installer...so figure ill try some others than redl the installer
