Afternoon and merry Christmas.

I got myself some presents for Christmas, an ITX board, Fury X and a new case.

I've swapped everything over, I forgot to uninstall the old nvidia drivers before I started but it's never caused me a problem before.

I've powered it up, everything is spinning as it should, but I'm not getting any display.. Tried the onboard DP, HDMI, graphics card DP, onboard HDMI.

Am I being an idiot and missing something? Or it may be the alcohol taking effect...

Check that you've plugged in all the power cables and that everything is seated correctly (especially the memory). If there is still an issue try the memory modules separately and if that doesn't work maybe a BIOS reset.

Still nothing, checked everything was connected, no card, whipped the CPU cooler off and checked the pins and there was one bent, I didn't even think to check the board before I put the CPU in. So I'm guessing this is what is causing my issue :(

Straightened it out as best I could but still nothing so I'm going to try my old board and see if everything is okay so I can narrow it down. I can't find one of them little speakers to see if the board is beeping any codes at me as there is no lights on this :(

3.Did you install the standoffs under the motherboard? Did you place them so they all align with the screw holes in the motherboard, with no extra standoffs touching the board in the wrong place? A standoff installed in the wrong place can cause a short and prevent the system from booting. source: tom's hardware

this actualy happened to me, so who knows :D

I didn't install them no, they came on already. One on each corner.

I'm now forced to play some stupid family game so I can't continue to fiddle and it's really bugging me.

Boot up outside of case, we have have life!

lol man i feel for you, other stuff than wahat was mentined above that i can think about :
assuming you checked that the monitor isn't the issue, since it doesnt work with the mobo or the gpu display, just saying :p
-check the CPU pins if any are bent
-clear cmos
-unplug any unnecessary component, and leave just what's necessary for it to boot and send a signal to the display, like extra hdd/ssd/gpu/dvd/ram...
-test the PSU, but it's tricky, you can google how to test PSU.

ah it worked outside the case, thats cool :p,check the case box if it came with extra standoffs, and how many standoff holes the mobo have, then install them and make sure they are firmly screwed.
if still shorts, lift the case and give it a gentle shake or bend it on the side, and see if you can hear anything metalic loose inside the case

Edit: Oh, re-read says it's ITX :p 4 standoffs is fine, thought it was ATX, only skimmed first post, but read updates.

On a more useful note, does it work in the case without the card? Just wondering where pressure might be applied when it's in. If it does work without gpu, but with case, what case?

Right..

The PC has been working all afternoon out of case, well the motherboard out and then wires from the case dragged over. I thought I'd try and pop it back in and have a tidy up. Put the motherboard in, cables etc. Thought I'd have a test run and fire it up, exactly the same thing has happened.

The motherboard is sat on and screwed into the standoff so, there's nothing else in contact with it. The only thing that seems a little off to me is that the motherboard sits a bit far away from the backplate in the case. Could this cause an issue? If I don't get this sorted by Tuesday I'm going to give OcUK a ring and see if they've had any issues with this case or can offer some advice.

Well it turns out that it's shorting itself out on the backplate...

the good news savage is that you know your components are working fine, the bad news is that the origine of the problem must be so simple and stupid that it could be a pain to pinpoint, and it could be anything, from sloppy soldering, too large screws, front panel wiring, or the weight of some component pressure the mobo somwhere to short.
if you have rubber washers put them before the screws

It was the back plate :D :D :D

It's now all powered up and working fine in the case. Now to get some time on fallout, guess i'm not sleeping tonight :D

Although, onboard sound is **** I need to get an external sound card asap :(
