no display, no beep, nuffin!

i swear to god i'm the most unlucky guy in town!!!

after all the issues i've had with motherboards and ram and all that jazz... i go to switch the computer on this morning, and... nuthin.

the screen doesnt come out of standby, there is no beep, BUT the lights and fans all power up as normal...

so far i have:

1) taken out the ram sticks, one by one
2) unplugged all the peripherals (hdds, dvd drive)
3) removed the graphics card
4) reset the cmos

and none of these made the slightest difference

i have JUST got a brand new P5K deluxe due to issues i had with the DS3P so dont tell me this has gone now...

can anyone take an educated guess, am i looking at a third new motherboard or a new PSU? (the psu is a Corsair 620W)...

bloody computers! (please help :()

Mate, not sure you've seen already, but there are a couple of other posts with people have the same problem as you. In fact, I had the same problem. Screen just wouldn't come out of power save when I turned my computer on. This after 6 months of everything working perfectly. But... what solved my problem was to turn the monitor off when I would go to bed and then only turn it on again when I turn the computer on in the morning. It seems my PC had a tough time bringing the monitor out of power save after long periods of time. Hope this helps.
 
i would be enclined to try out the theory although in my case there is no startup beep which there always was before, so i really do think its not posting...

might drag the pc back in here and give it a go but i wont get me hopes up, but thanks for the heads up ;)

Unless these probs are the ones you were having with the DS3P - I'd say its the board. The P5K's are reasonably new, so its to be expected, unfortunately, that a bad one might pop up.

RMA it mate, best of luck. :)
 
i have the same problem, only no case speaker, the ds3 is supposed to boot up, reset and boot properly, now it just boots with all the fans on and stays there, with no output to monitor.

it does this randomly sometimes.

im thinking of getting a new mb but dont want to waste 150 quid on one for it to still do it!
 
i know its so frustrating, i just want a solid reliable mobo that is the muts nuts, and i dont even mind chucking £170 at it but when you spend that kind of money for a piece of crap its a tad annoying :(

i went with the DS3P on the grounds of everyone saying how rock solid it was only to find otherwise so i just dont know what to believe... maybe i should try out an EVGA 680i or summat, is there not just a top of the range dogs b*****x mobo that is fast as hell and solid as granite? it just doesn't seem to exist :(

dare i say it... recommendations?
 
Blimy, this is exactly whats happend to my PC Two days ago after 14months of working flawless.

I dont get no beeps from mobo, bros memory and grfx card do not work so its either mobo or psu imo.

New mobo here tomorrow ill post here to let you know!
 
Well if ya read my posts on here about my booting problems ?? it turned out
to be a dead stick of RAM stopping my sys from posting at boot up wouldn`t even let my monitor come out of stand by either ..

had to chop an change sticks to find which one it was :(
