No Display When Playing Certain Games

Need some help guys,

I Just got a 22" widescreen monitor, so when I go to play CSS it's fine. But when I launch Farcry and C&C3 I dont get any display at all.

I can hear sounds from the game but I get no picture what so ever. I cant even quit the game, I have to restart my comp everytime.

Can anyone help please?

Ahh I see, is there anyway of setting the resolution or refresh rate outside of the game. Seeing I cant do it in game. : /
