No display with SLI

Hi Guys,

Got a load of left over parts from lots of old builds and trying to make a worthwhile PC.

Pentium D 2.88GHz
Gigabyte GA-8N-SLI Royal mobo
2 x BFG 7600 GT OC

the problem im having is setting up the SLi.

Everything works fine when 1 graphics card is running, but when I flip over the SLi chip, install the 2nd card and connect them using the bridge i can't get a display on the monitor.
had a look in the BIOS and the INIT display is set to "PEG" so the first PCI-E slots graphics card should work!

Anything I'm doing wrong??

This might sound a bit patronising but have you tried to other outputs on the graphics cards?

When I had an SLI setup the output port seemed to jump randomly each time I reconfigured.

yup, i have tried each of the 4 DVI outputs and i still get nowt... but i did restart after each change. will try doing it without restarting.
Also ran the PCI power off a completely seperate PSU to make sure it wasn't a power problem.

Apparently I missed a BIOS option.

"SLi Broadcast aperture" was disabled.
