A couple of months ago my X1900XT card died and I RMA'd it. After various problems, my new X1950XT arrived and the problems started. I plugged it in, started up and logged into XP, and immediately uninstalled the old drivers and rebooted. Then I installed the newest (7.5) drivers+CCC and rebooted. It boots up fine, but when I get into windows, the monitor swithes into 'digital powersaving mode' so its not getting any signal.
Booting into safe mode and uninstalling the drivers gets XP working again in normal mode.

I've tried both the bundle with the CCC, and just the drivers with no luck. Also, when installing I get a 'Zero display service error'. However, I also got this from installing drivers for the old X1900XT and it worked fine.

For now, I'm going to try installing the drivers from the CD, but is there anything I can do to get my new card working?

my monitor shuts off with an out of range error on my x1950pro with the new cat 7.5s. never had a problem with previous drivers so the 7.5s are most definitely to blame in my case... :)

don't suppose you're running a 19in widescreen @ 1440x900?

Yep, 19" 1440x900

I assume I shouldn't use those drivers on vista then, either :P

Thanks for the help
