Hey Chaps i have an issue i hope one of you can help with.
From the top....My missus's best m8 switched her sons pc off at the mains b4 they left for holiday and had no surge protector. When they got bk the son switched on the pc and it powers on but theres no display.
Ive changed the mobo, the 5v rail on the psu wasnt working so have just put in a new psu and theres still no display.
Ive tried powering on with and with the Ram/Gpu..etc and still no joy.
Ive tried different monitors, so the only other thing i can think of is the cpu got fried too.
Hope someone can help.

Regards

clear the cmos

shouldn't switch pc off at the wall without first powering pc down/turning off at front panel power button

Ive tried clearing the cmos and yes she knows shes done wrong by switching off by the wall and with no surge protector.

I've the same problem.

do the led on keyboard or mouse show when you turn on the base unit?

I would clear the CMOS and leave the kettle lead un-plugged for 10 minutes and sometimes 1/15 for example the system would boot up into bios and prompt me to load default settings, but when it's on its on? As I've had it under load with games and also general by leaving the system powered on over night . I've had my Pc tested to some degree, the only two parts not tested are my motherboard and CPU. My guess would be the problem lies with these two components.
