No FSB on new i-cores how does that work

I was having a discussion and someone mentioned the new i-cores don't have an FSB.

The last PC build I did was a few years back and so have a Q6600, when there were still FSB's

If there is no FSB what controls data transfer between processor and memory and the rest of the devices?

Something has to bus the data doesn't it?

Doesn't something have to bridge the gap between quad piped CPU speeds and dual channel memory speeds?

Can someone explain what no FSB means and how these things are controlled and overclocked without an FSB?

Thanks,

Intel chips use BCLK instead which is just another name for FSB AFIAK, at least I know increasing BCLK has the same overclocking effect as increased FSB, not had my mits on any of the later intel stuff only AMD
