No Full Display

Display Problem

Hi guys i have just finished my first build and have hooked up my ati 4850 to my lcd tv at 1080p ... the problem is that it will not fill the whole screen ... plus i have installed all the lastest drivers.

And btw i am running a dvi to hdmi adapter to my tv

Check what resolution your TV runs at and change your output resolution to that.

Ok i have done this and my tv tells me it is outputing at 1080p but still it fails to fill the entire screen.... Also my hdtv is not detected in Catalyst Control Centre

So the resolution is 1920x1080?

And setting your output resolution to that isnt working? Do you have an aspect ratio button on your remote? Trying different aspect ratios might work.

I found this problem with a 760G IGP underscan is on by default for some strange reason. Checkout the Scaling Options in CCC and boost to 0% it comes under DTV (DVI)1 on mine yours may vary.
