WAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!

My newly built pc keeps crashing 5-10 mins during a game.

For example, CSS - can load into a server, play one round, then during the 2nd round, it crashes.

I cant alt tab out of it or CTRL ALT DELETE out of it. It has to be restarted by cutting the power to the pc. :(

When it crashes, it loops sound over and over.

Did a quick run of testing for artifacts in ATI Tool, for 20 mins and its all good.

I have a 7900gto with the latest drivers. Should I try some previous drivers?

Its my new and 1st one Ive built and really want to get cracking with some bf2 , stalker and CSS! :D

Any idea whats doing this?

I've had this problem with 2 different PCs - both had different solutions. One was a conflict with Punkbuster running in the background and my onboard sound. The other one was caused by memory

Power shouldn't be a problem then! Memtest is a google away (e.g., I can't be bothered to find it for you... lol). "Memtest86+" I think is what it's actually called. You need to burn the memtest ISO to CD, then boot from the CD.

edit; Here we go, I stopped being lazy:

Right I ran memtest and 24% of the way through, I have 2262 ish errors... I assume the ram is nackered?

Would I be able to send it back to whom I got it from?

Gutted lol - one thing goes wrong after the other...I WANT TO PLAY BF2!! :D

Yeah 2.1V should be plenty.

Right ... may well have clocked it. HOPE SO ANYWAY!!

My voltage on the ram was set as 2.0 v , so I put the voltage onto manual and set it to +0.1v which makes it 2.1 v.

Running memtest now, and it hasnt froze (did do all the times previous) and has got to about 33% through but has still got about 400 errors.

When the voltage was on 2.0v , in about 8% there was 2000 errors.

Why is it still giving me errors? :)
