Hello everyone,

I am having trouble getting graphics to work on my computer. My MB doesn't have integrated graphics, so I have to use a graphics card. However, the card doesn't produce graphics and the fan isn't spinning, but the rest of the computer is working fine. I have replaced most of the components, except the HDD. My system specs are:

  • AMD Piledriver FX-4 Quad Core 4300 3.80GHz (Socket AM3+) Processor - Retail
  • Asus M5A97 LE R2.0 AMD 970 (Socket AM3+) DDR3 Motherboard
  • Sapphire Radeon R7 240 Boost 2048MB GDDR3 PCI-Express Card
  • Western Digital Caviar Blue 500GB SATA 6Gb/s 16MB Cache - OEM (WD5000AAKX) HDD
  • Zalman Z3 Plus Midi-Tower - White
  • KRAKEN X31 280mm AIO Water Cooling Unit (liquid cooling)
  • Pioneer 24x Internal DVR-221LBK DVD Rewriter - OEM
  • 4GB (X4) DDR3 PC3-14900 Unbuffered NON-ECC 1.5V 512Meg x
    64
  • RM Series™ RM1000 — 1000 Watt 80 PLUS® Gold Certified Fully Modular PSU
  • Sentry 3 fan controller

Can someone please advise me on what I can do to get graphics?

Thank you,

Hi everyone,

I have tried another graphics card, but got the same result. I have also tried re-seating it, but still no graphics. I have recently replaced the MB, the PSU, the CPU and the graphics card, but still no graphics. I am thinking about getting a graphics card that requires it to be connected to the PSU, incase it is the MB not delivering enough power. The graphics card that I am thing of getting is an ASUS Radeon R7 360 OC 2048MB GDDR5 PCI-Expre Graphics Car, which requires an additional 6-pin PCI-E power connection.

I will let you know how it goes when it is installed. Thank you for all the advice so far,

Hi everyone,

Some of you have suggested that I update my BIOS. How can I update my BIOS when I cannot see it? I have NO integrated graphics, so the graphics card is the only way to get graphics for my computer. But if the graphics card isn't working, then how can I see anything?

Also, I have tried my graphics card in a friend's computer, but that didn't work. I have also replaced the MB, thinking that it was at fault, but still no graphics.

Any more ideas?

Thanks,

Hi everyone,

I have tried the new graphics card, but still no luck. I have tried different cables and monitors, but still no luck.

The problem first started when I replaced my air cooling block with a water cooling block, Because of this. I have tried the air cooling system again, but still no luck.

Any more ideas?

Thank you,
