Hi there

Just built my pc today and I have a 'no hard disc detected' but i can install software and run windows.

I have been in the BIOS (fancy graphics version) and the HDD is detected but it says 2 before it and the cd has a 1 and i cant change it?

What am i doing wrong!

Thanks

Jocker

where do you see the message "no hard disk detected" ?

it could be the sata slot your using check the manual and figure out which is the first sata slot then plug your hard drive into that.

It may be looking at the IDE ports rather than the SATA ports.

As your system is booting and both drives work I see no reason to change.

could try switching them to see if it helps.

as rjc says, long as your system works nothing really to worry about.

"no hard disk detected" means it looked for a raid setup & didnt find one. My pc is the same, just ignore it.
