I bought a Titan Accelerator PC from OC about 5-6 weeks ago. It was working fine up untill the last couple of weeks when it started randomly freezing on me. The freezing progressed... i was getting as far as loading the desktop... Then as far as the bar when it starts to load Vista. Now i get 'No Hard Disk is Detected' when the bios boots up.

In the BIOS settings the HD is detected.

I run checks on my Seagate 7200.11 which fail as it has many bad sectors which cannot be read. (i have read the faulty Seagate 7200.11 post).

I managed to access the HD through parted magic CD and ftp all my files to my laptop.

I decided to buy a WD Caviar Black which i recieved today. I managed to install Vista 64 on and it seems to work fine so far. The HD is also detected when i go into the BIOS settings.

I have installed all the drivers from the mobo CD which include the Mavell 61xx RAID Controller drivers. I still get the dreaded 'No Hard Disk Detected' when the BIOS is booting.

Can anyone help me please?

No supprise with the Seagate dying, but can't understand why the WD should have been working at first and then suddenly not seen by the BIOS. Can you try a different SATA port (assume you plugged it into SATA0). Maybe faulty lead.

i had the same problem yesterday on my sisters media centre, it was down to the cable being faulty, a quick switch over and now the problem has gone away :)
