No HDD when installing XP

At the moment i'm running Vista x86 (which installs fine). I'd like to go back to XP because vista screws up my torrent/connection.
However, when i try to install XP SP2, it says it cannot find my any of my 3 hard drives (WD 160gb, WD 640gb, or Maxtor 200gb - all in NFTS). I seem to remember this happening when i installed XP before, but i cannot remember how i managed to get past it :S.
Would it be worth trying to install XP SP3?

most likely it needs sata drivers, either get a floppy or burn it into a new xp disc, using n-light or what ever it's called.

any idea what the program is called, cant find anything usefull about 'n-light'
