Morning all. I'm really hoping someone can help me, I'm having a mare :(

So with BF4 on the horizon I decided to beef up my mini-ITX build for some gaming by buying 8GB RAM, a 3570k and a GTX660. I installed it all on my MSI Z77I-EA53(?) board and booted up. It worked. First time. I even played a bit of Civ5 during that initial, glorious 5 minutes. Then I decided to grab the latest nvidia drivers for the BF4 boost and that's when it started going horribly wrong.

During installation of the driver my system completely hung. Screen was blank for ages so I rebooted. After this the system didn't seem to want to boot, going into a constant power on/power off cycle (not even getting into BIOS). OK I thought, maybe my 660 is duff. I began the RMA process and OCUK said maybe my power supply wasn't up to the task (I have a Corsair CX430M) Good point, I thought I was flying a little close to the wind anyway. I went out yesterday and bought a dog's danglies XFX Pro 750W. This seemed to resolve my power off/on problem but I still had no output from the card. I then removed the card and tried to get back to using the IGP with the HDMI output from the board. Again, nothing. I was at my wit's end now as everything appeared OK - I just had no display output. I then dismantled my entire system and breadboarded it. I also had the bright idea of using ye olde d-sub cable to my monitor and what do you know? It flippin' worked. I had a display.

So now I was able to go into the BIOS. Here, under Integrated Graphics something or rather, I could see that the graphics were set to PEG and not IGP. Bingo I thought, just set that back to IGP, plug in my hdmi cable and we're in business. Only it hasn't made any difference. I cannot get any output from the HDMI port on my mobo.

I am now a spent force. I've got nothing. I cannot see how I am not getting any HDMI output from my mobo when absolutely everything else appears to be working OK. I'm ignoring the GTX660 atm as I just want to get this working first (I should point out that all traces of the Nvidia drivers have been removed from my system via windows uninstall and driversweeper)

The only thing I haven't done is test the HDMI cable and will do that tonight. I'm not convinced this is the problem, but stranger things have happened.

Do any of you brain boxes have any other ideas

Well I can confirm that it's definitely not the HDMI lead or monitor as it works perfectly with the HDMI output on my laptop. I've updated the Intel ME software but that hasn't had any effect, despite it containing a fix for similar symptoms.
I also notice that the HDMI output feels very warm on the mobo - not sure if that's normal or not though.
There's nothing in the BIOS that switches this on/off and nothing in Windows I can find either.
I'm stuck.
Teetering on getting another mobo now...frustrating as it doesn't really have the symptoms of a borked mobo :(

Buttkicker :(

My board has gone back for RMA. I'm hoping they do find something wrong with it! I have already bought an Asus replacement. Will flog it on if they replace it.
