So I have been putting a budget gaming pc together for a friend at work as I keep telling him about pubg and he really wants to play it. I could use a duo team mate too.
I hadn't got round to selling my old asus matx motherboard with q9450 and 4gig geil ram from my old pic before I upgraded 6 months ago.
So that motherboard bundle with a new evga psu and old hard drive I had I wasn't using is what we have used.
Put all that together and installed windows 10 and all drivers etc. Got it all up and running no problem. This was all done whilst connected to my monitor off the motherboard dvi socket.
He bought a second hand gtx770 (£60!) which the guy showed him playing games to prove it works.
Installed this last night and latest GeForce drivers all working ok plugged into dvi.
He told me he is planning on using the pc on his tv via hdmi so I thought I'd plug it into my tv via hdmi just to check but I have no output on hdmi is seems!?
Tv just stays as if no signal received.
My mate said the previous owner was running his monitor which he saw working via the hdmi port/cable.
Anyone come access this before?
Any idea why hdmi might be disabled or just not outputting signal?
