No idea about ram timings, how do i tighten them up ?

Specs are below

Q6600 2.4 @ 3.04ghz (although wcpuid says im at 3402mhz) confusing
OCZ 4GB (2x2GB) PC2-6400C5 Dual Channel Vista Gold Series DDR2 (OCZ2G8004GK)
Asus p5Q motherboard

I had a little go making the numbers a bit less in bios, although the machine didnt want to start up

Any advise for the best timings for where i am at the moment, as i understand, the lower the better ?

I cann tighten mine up at lower speeds with a small voltage bump but iv been told more speed is better than tighter timings.

Download CPU-Z and post back some screenys showing the main cpu page, then the memory page.

did you set ddr2 voltage at 2.1v and what timings are you on now, 5-5-5-18?

And what command rate is it set at, changing it from 1T to 2T can make a big difference as i found

I've currently also got 6GB in here, as 8GB just seems to blue screen every now and again, not faulty ram etc as all tested.

People advised me to upp the ram voltage, which did make a few improvements, although just wanted to do all the memory dumping and then restart !

Voltage should be 2.1 for this ram, how far should I go in deed with the voltage for the ram with me overclock, dnt want to cook it
