No IE 10 for Vista!

To be fair Vista wasn't that good anyway. Anyone who even remotely cares about which version of IE they're running will likely already have jumped to 7 as fast as their legs would carry them. :p

To be fair, the folks who know enough to keep up with things like browser version numbers, changelogs etc are probably running Firefox or Chrome anyway. :p

Unless of course they don't like the memory-leaking garbage that is Firefox or the data-harvesting that is Chrome (plus it's foul interface).

'bit funny calling chrome's interface foul next to IE9. IE9 is all over the place.

It's "better" when you shift the tab bar, but I'm not a huge fan of IE9's interface. The use of IE is a must though due to a few web apps that I need to use both personally and for work that either don't render properly, or function correctly in other browsers.

My favourite interface is Opera without a doubt.

you're not wrong there, ive found quite a few sites that just dont render properly in chrome (well, iron [no data harvesting!]). firefox is better but ie9 is a most for those poorly coded websites (im looking at you santander and orange!)

Vista Pre SP1 was good.:)

Who uses IE these days anyways? o.0

*cowers in the shadows for an angry response*
How about we get past the IE6/7/8 stuff that is no longer relevant and just accept that IE9 is a decent browser as is FF4 and Chrome 10, each with their strengths and weaknesses. /sigh

Although I prefer the Opera UI (which seems to have taken a huge chunk of design cues from Office 2010, shame IE9 didn't do the same) Opera 11 still is by far the most problematic of the browsers for me, and, I think doomed to obscurity eventually unless something changes.

When is IE10 going to be released?

By the time it's ready for final release will anyone really care?

For the record, I still have a Vista machine and I use Internet Explorer as my main browser.

Firefox 4 simply rocks no ifs, ands or buts it just does. Chrome I do quite like and have it as a second browser (Firefox is my first due to the extensions and stuff I use in it) and I only use IE9 when I download anything from Microsoft other than that it never gets used.

That's a bit of a stretch isn't it.

Both of those are things so over-sensationalised that some people seem to tag on to at every opportunity as if they don't know any better.

Likewise for the IE haters! ;)

I personally cannot stand FF. IE does everything I need it to. Only reason I use FF, is when Im doing any web work due to the plugins, and checking websites to make sure they rendered ok.
