No Image after changing Refresh Rate

Currently running a 20" Sony Bravia TV as a PC monitor (temporarily until I get something nicer) and it's running at 30Hz refresh rate (which is painful). As far as I know the native resolution of the screen is 1366x768 @50Hz and I now know its not capable of doing 1920x1080 @60Hz.

Before I knew that I decided (in the display settings) to set the Refresh rate to 60Hz to see if it would do it because the 30Hz was killing me and I got a black screen. Absolutely nothing.

I apologise if this is a silly question but...Help?

Also, there's no GPU at the moment just HD4000 (rest of spec in sig).

I get the Windows 8 loading screen (Blue windows logo and rotating dots, but after that I get nothing :confused:

Tried booting into windows in safe mode to change the settings?

i have a a similar problem, uninstall the monitor driver and then reinstall.
or also as SIMILARTOO said boot into safe mode, when in there change the monitor back to 30.boot back into windows if it does not show up then, disconnect the monitor and then reconnect and it should come back

Right, I've fixed it. I hooked my PC up to a display that is 1920x1080 Native and changed the settings back to what they were so I can use my terrible TV Screen for a bit longer
